Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party she has previously served in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009–2011) as well as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an election contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 by working on the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was the communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was the press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. 20 Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. [20] There was speculation Psaki was to replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary at the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. She was appointed communications director in the White House and continued to continue to do so until the end of 2015.
