Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born August 19, 1965, is an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. Her most prominent part is as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received nominations for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian as well as of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
